Hanford, CA – The heat is on in Hanford as temperatures are expected to soar into the upper 90s today and reach close to 100°F by Saturday. The warm, sunny weather is expected to persist throughout the weekend, providing residents with ideal conditions for outdoor activities — but also posing a risk for heat-related issues.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s high is forecasted to reach 97°F with clear skies and light winds from the north at 5 mph. Tonight, the temperature will dip to a low of 65°F, staying relatively mild under mostly clear skies. Saturday will be the hottest day of the week, with temperatures pushing into the 100°F range.
Sunday will bring slightly cooler temperatures, hovering around 91°F, while the skies remain mostly clear. Winds will also pick up a bit over the weekend, gusting up to 15 mph on Sunday and 20 mph by Monday.
For the beginning of next week, a slight cool-down is expected, with temperatures in the low 80s and partly cloudy conditions on Monday. By Tuesday, highs will be near 71°F, accompanied by a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms after 11 a.m.
