Waco, TX – A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for central and eastern Texas from 9 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday, with wind chills dropping to 9°F.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth reports that areas including Waco, Temple, and Palestine will experience bitterly cold conditions overnight.
Officials recommend dressing in warm layers, protecting outdoor pipes, and ensuring proper heating safety indoors. Drivers should also watch for frost on bridges and overpasses.
Although temperatures will rise slightly Friday afternoon, another cold front is expected to impact the region early next week.
