According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, today’s forecast calls for sunny skies and temperatures as high as 84 degrees. Tonight’s low will dip to around 60 degrees, offering little relief from the heat. Tuesday will bring similarly warm conditions, with temperatures remaining in the low-to-mid 80s. Residents should prepare for continued warmth, as cooler weather is not expected until Thursday night.
In addition to the warm weather, stargazers in the region can enjoy a rare celestial event on Tuesday evening. The Harvest Supermoon and a partial lunar eclipse will be visible. The eclipse begins at 8:41 p.m. EDT and will peak at 10:44 p.m. The event will conclude just before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday.
