According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will see a high of 32 degrees with scattered snow showers starting before noon. Light rain may mix in during the afternoon. Winds could gust up to 20 mph, making outdoor conditions brisk. Snow accumulations are expected to remain light through Sunday evening.
Monday begins a sharp drop in temperatures, with highs reaching only 30 degrees. A brief respite from snow will occur, but temperatures will plummet overnight into the teens. Tuesday continues the cold streak with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 29 degrees.
By Wednesday night, a clipper low-pressure system is forecast to bring significant snow to the area, possibly affecting Route 1 and other major roadways. Temperatures will hover around 18 degrees overnight, with heavy gusts expected to follow Thursday’s snowfall.
Residents should take precautions, including winterizing vehicles, checking heating systems, and preparing for icy conditions. Officials urge drivers to remain cautious on snowy and potentially slippery roads throughout the week.
