Los Angeles, CA – Strong winds continue to impact parts of Southern California, with gusts reaching up to 60 mph in some areas. A Wind Advisory remains in effect for the Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range and Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains until 8 a.m. PST Tuesday, while the Interstate 5 Corridor and Western Antelope Valley Foothills will see gusty conditions until noon.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Los Angeles, north to northeast winds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts as high as 60 mph in isolated spots, are expected in mountain regions, including Montecito Hills, Figueroa Mountain, and Big Pine Mountain. Meanwhile, the Interstate 5 Corridor and Western Antelope Valley Foothills, including areas like Lake Palmdale and Tejon Pass, will experience northwest to north winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.
The strong winds pose hazards, including downed tree limbs and scattered power outages. The NWS advises caution for motorists, particularly those driving high-profile vehicles, as gusty conditions may make travel difficult.
Residents should secure outdoor objects and remain vigilant for possible power disruptions. Wind conditions are expected to diminish by noon on Tuesday.
