San Francisco, CA – A Wind Advisory is in effect for Northern California, bringing gusts of up to 50 mph through Sunday morning. Areas impacted include the North Bay Interior Mountains, East Bay Hills, Santa Cruz Mountains, and the Eastern Santa Clara Hills.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory begins Friday at midnight and lasts until 10 a.m. Sunday. Winds from the north to northeast will range from 20 to 30 mph, with peak gusts hitting 50 mph. Residents are urged to secure outdoor objects, as flying debris may pose a hazard. High-profile vehicles should avoid driving in affected areas due to strong crosswinds.

Power outages are possible, and road conditions on Highway 17 and Interstate 580 may become hazardous. Residents near wooded areas should prepare for the potential of falling trees or branches.

The wind event leads into a weekend of sunny weather with daytime highs in the low 60s. Saturday will be the warmest day, with a high of 63 degrees, while Sunday is expected to reach 62 degrees. Winds will taper off by Sunday afternoon, bringing calmer conditions for the week ahead.

Looking beyond the weekend, the Bay Area forecast predicts clear skies and cooler temperatures. Monday and Tuesday will see highs near 59 degrees with nighttime lows dropping into the mid-40s.
