East L.A., California – Drivers along I-5 and I-10 in East L.A. should prepare for multiple mornings of reduced visibility as patchy fog builds through the week. Fog is expected before 11 a.m. each day through Friday, creating hazardous driving conditions and slower commutes, especially near coastal valleys and urban corridors.
According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog will form late each evening and persist through the morning hours. Tuesday’s high will reach 81°F after fog clears, but visibility may remain limited along inland routes before 10 a.m. Southwest winds between 5 and 10 mph could help dissipate the fog by midday.
Motorists should use low-beam headlights, allow extra time for travel, and avoid speeding during low-visibility periods. Public transit may see minor delays, and walking or biking in early hours should be done cautiously.
By Wednesday and Thursday, conditions will follow a similar pattern: fog before 11 a.m., then mostly sunny with highs around 81–82°F. Thursday night will again bring increased cloudiness with a low near 63°F, and fog will return before Friday morning.
Though skies will gradually clear by the weekend, early risers should stay alert for residual fog. No major heat waves or storm systems are forecasted at this time.
⚠️ Warnings for fog remain in effect each morning through Friday.
