A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect for San Diego and Orange County coastal areas until 9 a.m. Wednesday, with visibility dropping below a quarter-mile. Drivers along I-5 and other major roadways should use caution, slow down, and keep headlights on.
According to the National Weather Service, areas including San Diego, Carlsbad, and Huntington Beach will experience thick fog, making morning travel hazardous. Low visibility could lead to delays, especially on major highways and near the coastline.
By late morning Wednesday, fog will clear as sunny skies and a high of 74°F take over. Wednesday night will see patchy fog and temperatures dropping to 53°F.
Looking Ahead:
• Thursday: Morning fog clearing to mostly sunny skies, high of 83°F.
• Friday: Patchy morning fog, then sunshine with a high of 66°F.
• Saturday & Sunday: Cooler temperatures in the low 60s with a chance of showers.
Commuters should check real-time traffic updates before heading out, as fog could cause sudden delays. Expect warmer, sunnier weather later in the week before rain returns over the weekend.
