Sacramento, CA – Northern California faces a wet and stormy start to February, with a Flood Watch in effect through Sunday evening. The National Weather Service warns of heavy rainfall, possible flooding, and rising streams as storms continue across the region.

According to the National Weather Service, rainfall totals could reach 3 inches in the Valley, up to 8 inches in the mountains, increasing the risk of flooding, especially in low-lying areas. Winds could also gust up to 25 mph, making travel hazardous.

Sunday:Showers continue, high near 60°F, south winds up to 14 mph.

Monday:Rain likely, high near 60°F, gusty winds.

Tuesday:Showers tapering, highs in the mid-50s.

Wednesday:A slight chance of rain, highs in the mid-50s.

Thursday:Mostly clear, highs near 55°F.
