According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will start cloudy through mid-morning, then gradually clear with a high near 74°F. Light and variable winds will shift southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Fog may return Wednesday night, creating potentially slick conditions for early Thursday commuters.
From Thursday onward, a spring warm-up will take hold. Daytime highs will reach 81°F Thursday and soar to 85°F by Friday under mostly sunny skies. Mornings may remain foggy, but afternoons will feel more like early summer.
Motorists traveling along I-5 and I-710 should drive with caution during morning fog events, especially near low-lying areas. Visibility could drop quickly before 11 a.m. Use low beams and allow extra travel time.
