A round of spring storms is set to impact Central and Northern California on Thursday, bringing rain and thunderstorms to Hanford and Eureka before giving way to sunshine by the weekend. The system will produce periods of heavy rain and gusty winds, affecting travel conditions and outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service, Hanford can expect steady rain throughout the day on Thursday, with thunderstorms likely by the afternoon. Winds will be light in the morning but could gust up to 25 mph during the storms. Rainfall totals may reach up to a half-inch, with higher amounts possible in localized thunderstorms. Eureka will see lighter rain showers tapering off by midday, with breezy conditions up to 24 mph.

By Thursday night, rain chances drop in both cities, and conditions will begin to clear. Friday will bring mostly sunny skies, with temperatures reaching 59°F in Hanford and 53°F in Eureka. A warming trend continues into the weekend, with Hanford hitting a high of 73°F on Sunday, while Eureka remains in the upper 50s.

Looking ahead, another storm system could bring light rain early next week, but no major weather disruptions are expected. Residents should stay updated on the latest forecasts and be prepared for wet conditions on Thursday.
