The quake occurred at 03:17 UTC (8:17 PM PDT on Saturday, March 16) at a depth of 14.4 kilometers. Reports indicate that residents across the greater Los Angeles area felt the tremor, though no significant damage or injuries have been reported.
According to the USGS Community Internet Intensity Map, the earthquake registered a level IV shaking intensity, meaning it was widely felt but unlikely to cause structural damage. So far, over 3171 residents have submitted reports of experiencing the shaking.
