Hanford, CA – A dense fog advisory remains in effect across the San Joaquin Valley until noon Monday, significantly reducing visibility on major roadways, including State Route 99. Travelers should anticipate challenging conditions, with visibility dipping below 200 feet in some areas overnight.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Hanford, fog will persist through the morning commute, with localized patches of visibility as low as 100 feet. Drivers are advised to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain extended following distances. The advisory is expected to end by midday, but patchy fog could linger into the evening.

After Monday, forecasters predict gradual clearing through midweek. Tuesday will bring partly sunny skies and a high of 60°F, offering some relief from the dense fog. By Wednesday, clear conditions will dominate, with temperatures reaching the mid-50s. Nighttime lows will hover near 37°F through Thursday, maintaining cool, calm weather for the region.

Residents are urged to stay informed of ongoing weather conditions and plan for delays during their morning travel. Officials stress that fog-related accidents are common during advisories, so extra caution is critical.

As the week progresses, Central California will see improved visibility and sunny skies, offering ideal conditions for outdoor activities. However, drivers should remain cautious as fog may return in isolated areas later this week.
