Sacramento, CA – Dense fog is creating hazardous travel conditions across the Sacramento Valley today, with visibility reduced to a quarter mile in some areas. Drivers are urged to exercise caution, particularly along Interstate 5 and other major highways. The National Weather Service warns that low visibility will persist until late morning, making commutes potentially dangerous.
According to the National Weather Service, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Sunday, impacting areas such as Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto. Motorists should use low-beam headlights, slow down, and maintain extra distance between vehicles. Fog is expected to gradually dissipate as the sun rises, but travel delays may occur during the busiest morning hours.
