Buffalo, NY – Residents across Buffalo and the surrounding areas should prepare for a shift in the weather as a cold front approaches today. Lake-enhanced rain showers will likely impact areas east of Lake Ontario, bringing light rainfall in the afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service warns that rainfall amounts could average between one and two-tenths of an inch, enough to potentially affect evening activities along roads such as Interstate 90 and Route 33.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will remain close to average in the coming days before warming midweek. Today’s highs will peak around 55°F, while nighttime temperatures will dip to about 38°F. Monday looks calm with partly sunny skies and a high near 59°F, but a shift will occur Tuesday, with a 40% chance of showers by the afternoon.

The most significant weather change will hit on Halloween, with rain showers anticipated to impact festivities across Buffalo. Temperatures will stay mild, reaching 74°F on Wednesday, before falling on Thursday as showers continue. Winds will increase midweek, bringing gusts up to 30 mph, which could affect travel and outdoor decorations.
