Bourbonnais, IL – The annual Bourbonnais Firefighters’ Association Fish Fry returns this Friday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival. Local business owners and residents are encouraged to participate in this fundraiser, which aims to raise $25,000 for crucial new airway equipment.

According to the Bourbonnais Firefighters’ Association, the funds will be used to purchase the McGRATH™ MAC Video Laryngoscope, an advanced device designed to improve airway management for patients who cannot breathe on their own. The current equipment used by the fire department is no longer manufactured, making it challenging to restock necessary supplies.

The fish fry is a significant community event, offering a great opportunity for local businesses to purchase team lunches and show their support. Limited delivery options are available, and interested parties are urged to call 815-935-9670 to schedule orders.

The fundraiser highlights the need for updated medical apparatus to enhance the capabilities of the fire department’s five Advanced Life Support vehicles. With the new laryngoscope, firefighters can better secure airways and provide advanced care to those in critical condition.
