Boston, MA – Residents across Massachusetts are getting a taste of winterlike chill today as dry, blustery weather spreads through the region, bringing highs only in the mid-40s for most areas. Higher-elevation communities could see temperatures stuck in the upper 30s to lower 40s throughout the afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service Boston office, Friday will stay partly sunny but breezy, with northwest winds between 10 and 20 mph making it feel even colder at times.
Clouds increase on Saturday as the next weather system approaches. According to forecasters, rain is expected to begin Saturday night between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m., spreading from west to east across Massachusetts. Afternoon highs Saturday should reach the low- to mid-40s before temperatures dip into the 30s overnight.
By Sunday, drier weather returns, but conditions will become windy across the region. The National Weather Service expects highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s—slightly warmer than the past two days, though still brisk due to persistent winds.
Travelers and weekend planners may want to account for wet roads Saturday night and potentially gusty conditions Sunday, especially in open areas and along the coast. No hazardous winter weather is expected, but the shift between rainy and windy conditions could impact outdoor plans.
