Areas along I-81 could see snow by mid-morning, with I-95 impacted from 1 to 3 p.m. Forecasters expect 6-10 inches of snow in the mountains, with near-blizzard conditions likely. Central Maryland, including Baltimore, is projected to receive 1-3 inches, while northern Virginia and parts of West Virginia may see less than an inch.
Temperatures will drop into the teens and 20s Friday night, creating icy road conditions. Officials urge residents to avoid unnecessary travel and prepare for potential disruptions.
