Wichita, KS – Southern Kansas residents can expect a cool, dry weekend with sunny skies and brisk temperatures through Monday. Daytime highs will range from the mid-40s to low-50s, while overnight lows are set to dip into the mid-20s.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Wichita will experience sunny conditions today, with a high near 47°F. Winds will remain light and variable, increasing slightly to 6–11 mph by this evening. Tonight, temperatures will fall to 32°F, accompanied by increasing cloud cover.

Saturday promises similar conditions, with highs peaking near 46°F in Wichita. However, gusty winds, reaching up to 18 mph in the afternoon, could make it feel colder. Overnight lows will drop to 27°F, under partly cloudy skies.

Sunday will bring calmer weather, with highs near 47°F and mostly sunny skies. Winds will be light, shifting northwestward during the afternoon. Sunday night will be chilly, with temperatures falling to 25°F.

By Monday, high temperatures will range from 41–44°F across the region, with sunny skies expected. Overnight lows will remain cold at 26°F. The dry weather is set to persist through midweek, with a warming trend beginning Tuesday, as highs approach 49°F.

Motorists traveling along I-35 or local roadways should remain cautious during the morning and evening hours when wind chill temperatures dip near freezing. Be sure to bundle up if heading outdoors, especially during early morning hours.
