Cleveland, OH – Black Friday shoppers and post-Thanksgiving travelers may face hazardous conditions as a lake-effect snowstorm brings heavy snowfall to Northern Ohio and Northwestern Pennsylvania.

The National Weather Service predicts snowfall totals of over eight inches in affected areas, including Erie and Crawford counties in Pennsylvania. Snow bands are expected to intensify along Interstates 90, 86, and 79, with visibility dropping to a quarter mile or less at times. Travel disruptions are likely during peak shopping hours Friday and through the weekend.

Temperatures will stay in the low 30s, prolonging icy conditions on roadways. Residents should plan ahead, monitor updates, and avoid non-essential travel during periods of heavy snow.
