Denver, CO – Shoppers and outdoor enthusiasts in Colorado can expect a frigid start to Black Friday, but temperatures will gradually improve. A low of 17 degrees is forecast for Friday morning, warming to a high near 47 by afternoon. Sunny skies will dominate the Front Range, making it an ideal day for holiday travel or shopping, albeit with extra layers required.

According to the National Weather Service, southeast winds around 5 to 8 mph will persist on Friday. Nighttime temperatures will dip to 18 degrees, so caution is advised for those heading out early for Black Friday deals or evening activities. Saturday brings more relief, with a high of 46 degrees and continued sunshine, but mountain areas, including Red Feather Lakes, will remain cold, with highs barely reaching 30 and lows plummeting into single digits.

Looking ahead, Sunday marks a turning point for Denver, with a high of 48 degrees and sunny skies. The warming trend continues into next week, with temperatures climbing to 50 on Monday and peaking near 56 by Tuesday. Travelers along I-25 and Highway 36 should anticipate clear roads and dry conditions, ideal for post-holiday plans.

For mountain regions like Hot Sulphur Springs, however, winter holds steady. Overnight lows in the single digits and highs in the 20s will require extra preparedness for those venturing to higher elevations.

Residents should monitor local forecasts for updates and prepare for sharp temperature drops after sundown. Stay warm and enjoy the holiday weekend!
