Binghamton, NY – A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is on the way for Binghamton, making travel hazardous this week. Residents should prepare for slippery roads, especially during the Tuesday morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service, a chance of snow showers is expected Tuesday morning before transitioning to mostly cloudy skies with a high near 30°F. Tuesday night will bring colder conditions, with a low of 22°F and increasing cloud cover. By Wednesday night, snow and sleet could create additional hazards before warming temperatures bring rain on Thursday.

Roads, including I-81 and local highways, may become slick as freezing rain transitions to rain on Thursday, with highs reaching 46°F. Drivers should plan for slower travel and potential delays.

By Friday, conditions improve, with partly sunny skies and highs near 32°F. Overnight lows will dip into the teens.
