Tallahassee, FL – A dense fog advisory remains in effect for Tallahassee and surrounding areas until 10 a.m. Wednesday, causing hazardous driving conditions. Visibility has dropped to a quarter mile or less in many locations, particularly along major highways.

According to the National Weather Service, widespread fog will persist through early Wednesday morning before gradually clearing. Drivers should slow down, use headlights, and maintain extra following distance. By the afternoon, skies will turn partly sunny with a high near 78°F.

More fog is expected overnight into Thursday morning, followed by mostly sunny conditions and highs nearing 80°F. Light winds from the south will bring warmer air, keeping temperatures well above February averages.

The warming trend continues into the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and daytime highs in the upper 70s. Patchy morning fog remains a concern, particularly in low-lying areas.

Residents should prepare for reduced visibility during morning commutes and enjoy mild afternoons. Check local weather updates for any changes, and exercise caution when traveling in foggy conditions.
