Baltimore, Maryland – Cloudy skies and a chance for passing showers or storms could linger across the Baltimore-Washington corridor Thursday night into early Friday, keeping overnight conditions damp and muggy for much of the region.

According to the National Weather Service’s Baltimore/Washington office, temperatures tonight will drop into the low to mid-60s across central Maryland, northern Virginia, and the eastern West Virginia panhandle. Isolated storms are possible, especially near Hagerstown, Winchester, and down through Harrisonburg and Staunton.

Areas along I-95, including Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, can expect lows around 66°F with high humidity, increasing the risk for slick roads in the early morning. Conditions will be cooler west of I-81, with Oakland and Monterey seeing lows near 60°F. No severe weather is expected, but commuters should remain alert for wet pavement during the Friday morning drive.

Drivers are urged to turn on headlights in low-visibility conditions and check road alerts if storms develop overnight.

Clouds and scattered showers may continue into Friday morning before partial clearing. More updates will be issued if storm activity increases overnight.
