Little Rock, AR – Arkansas residents are preparing for significant winter weather as a storm is set to bring heavy snow, sleet, and ice across much of the state from 6 a.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, northern Arkansas could see 6 to 10 inches of snow, with higher amounts near the Missouri border. Central Arkansas, including Little Rock, is expected to receive 1 to 3 inches of snow and sleet, with up to one-tenth of an inch of ice accumulation.
Roads, bridges, and overpasses are expected to become slick and hazardous, particularly during the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Travel conditions overnight into Wednesday morning will likely be dangerous.
