Arkansas – A chilly Friday morning across Arkansas will warm up significantly, giving residents a mix of sunny skies and potential rain over the weekend. With lows hitting the 30s and 40s in some areas early Friday, the National Weather Service warns that temperatures will climb to the mid-60s in Little Rock and low 70s across parts of the state by afternoon, providing relief from the cold.
According to the National Weather Service, Arkansans should enjoy a sunny Saturday, with highs nearing 67°F in Little Rock and reaching up to 71°F in southern parts of the state, such as El Dorado. Calm winds are expected, providing ideal conditions for outdoor activities. Saturday night temperatures will cool to around 49°F, accompanied by partly cloudy skies, which will keep overnight conditions mild.
On Sunday, residents can anticipate mostly cloudy skies and slightly warmer temperatures, hitting a high of 72°F in the Little Rock area. While Sunday daytime will remain dry, the evening may see light rain, with a 20% chance of showers developing late.
Heading into Monday, the weather pattern shifts with increased rain chances. A likely mix of showers and possible thunderstorms will bring gusty winds up to 25 mph, making it wise for drivers and commuters to prepare for wet conditions and limited visibility. By Monday night, the showers are forecasted to continue before clearing on Tuesday, allowing sunshine to return and temperatures to rise back to 70°F.
This weekend, Arkansans should plan accordingly, using Saturday’s clear skies for outdoor plans and preparing for potential rain to start the work week.
