Little Rock, Ark. – Arkansas residents can expect a mild and sunny Wednesday as temperatures climb into the low to mid-80s across much of the state, with only a small pocket of rain possible near the Louisiana border.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, areas in southern Arkansas—including El Dorado and Monticello—may see a 15% to 25% chance of isolated showers during the day. Most other regions, including Fayetteville, Little Rock, and Jonesboro, will stay dry under partly cloudy skies.

Highs will reach 84°F in Monticello and 83°F in El Dorado, while Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Pine Bluff top out around 81°F. Cooler spots include Harrison and Fayetteville, where afternoon temperatures will hover in the mid-70s. Morning lows started brisk, with several northern counties dipping into the 50s.

With the lack of widespread rain, outdoor activities should go uninterrupted across central and northern Arkansas. Residents in southern counties should still monitor conditions, especially during the afternoon, when brief showers are most likely.

No weather alerts are currently in effect, but the NWS advises staying updated in case localized storms develop late. Another forecast update is expected early Thursday.
