Little Rock, AR – Drivers across Arkansas are urged to exercise caution as dense fog is forecast to persist through Monday morning, significantly reducing visibility on major roadways. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Dense Fog Advisory covering central and southern parts of the state, including stretches of I-40 and I-30.

According to the NWS Little Rock office, visibility could drop to as low as a quarter of a mile in some areas, creating hazardous conditions for motorists. Residents are advised to use low-beam headlights and allow extra time for travel. The advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Monday, with conditions expected to improve by mid-morning.

Foggy conditions will give way to mostly sunny skies Monday afternoon, with temperatures reaching an unseasonably warm high of 64 degrees. Overnight lows are projected to hover near 45 degrees, with light winds calming after midnight.

Looking ahead, New Year’s Eve will bring dry weather and sunny skies, with daytime highs near 49 degrees and lows dipping to 34 degrees overnight. These conditions are ideal for outdoor celebrations but may feel chilly for evening festivities.

The rest of the week is forecast to remain mostly clear, with temperatures gradually cooling into the 50s by Thursday. Rain is possible over the weekend, so party planners may want to monitor the forecast closely.
