Little Rock, AR – Much of Arkansas will sizzle under early summer heat through Tuesday, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s before a midweek shift brings rain and potential flooding.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, high temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will range from 85–88°F across most of the state, with overnight lows staying in the 60s and 70s. Cities like Conway, Russellville, and Pine Bluff are expected to see some of the warmest readings this week.

Rain chances return Wednesday, beginning a multi-day stretch of precipitation. From Wednesday through Sunday, parts of north and northeast Arkansas—including Harrison, Jonesboro, and Mountain View—could receive 3 to 4 inches of rain. Central regions like Little Rock and Hot Springs are expected to see 1.5 to 2 inches, while southern areas such as El Dorado and Monticello may receive less than an inch.

Localized flooding could become a concern later in the week, especially in low-lying or poorly drained areas. Residents should monitor drainage systems, limit unnecessary travel during heavy downpours, and prepare for possible flash flood warnings.

Rain is expected to persist into the weekend, with updated advisories likely as systems develop midweek.
