Little Rock, Ark. – Steady rain could dampen plans in southeast Arkansas on Saturday, with El Dorado, Monticello, and Pine Bluff facing the highest chance of precipitation—up to 95% by late afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, the best rain chances are concentrated in far southern, southeastern, and east-central counties. Light showers may begin early Saturday and continue into the evening, with cloud cover keeping daytime highs in the low 70s across much of the state. Monticello is expected to stay cooler, topping out near 68°F, while Little Rock should reach 72°F.

Residents in El Dorado and surrounding areas should expect rain-soaked roads and slower travel on U.S. Highway 82 and I-530. While no flooding is currently forecast, drivers are advised to reduce speed and use headlights during rainfall. Temperatures will start the day in the mid to upper 50s across the region, dipping to 48°F in the northern parts near Harrison.

This weather pattern marks a cooler-than-normal start to mid-May, though no severe storms are anticipated. Rain chances will taper off late Saturday, but additional updates may be issued if moisture lingers into Sunday.
