Little Rock, Arkansas – Severe storms packing hail and wind could rattle parts of Arkansas by late Wednesday, especially along the I-40 corridor west of Little Rock. The National Weather Service has flagged a marginal risk for severe weather across western and central regions, with the biggest threats arriving this afternoon through early evening.

According to the NWS in Little Rock, storms may produce quarter-sized hail (1 inch) and damaging wind gusts between 50 and 60 mph, particularly in counties like Pope, Johnson, and Yell. Residents should secure outdoor items, delay non-essential travel, and keep weather alerts active into tonight.

Thursday will stay unsettled, with scattered showers and isolated storms expected throughout the day, especially during the morning and again by early afternoon. Rain chances taper slightly Friday but rebound over the weekend. While widespread severe weather isn’t expected beyond Wednesday, spotty storms and breezy conditions will linger into Mother’s Day on Sunday.
