LITTLE ROCK, AR – Arkansas residents should prepare for an active spring weather pattern as severe thunderstorms and strong winds move in Friday night. Forecasters warn of large hail, damaging winds, and the possibility of tornadoes, particularly in western and central parts of the state.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock, the storms will begin developing Friday afternoon, with the most intense weather expected in the evening. Areas along the I-40 corridor, including Little Rock, Conway, and Russellville, could see wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy downpours. Storms may continue into early Saturday before conditions clear.
