Nashville, TN – Tennessee’s foggy conditions are impacting travel early Thursday morning, with a dense fog advisory in effect until 8 a.m. Low visibility, dropping to less than one mile, is expected across several counties, making driving conditions hazardous. Travelers in areas such as Columbia, Lawrenceburg, and Pulaski should remain cautious as they head out.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, the advisory covers portions of Perry, Hickman, Lewis, Maury, Marshall, Wayne, Lawrence, and Giles counties, including cities like Waynesboro, Linden, and Centerville. Reduced visibility could complicate early-morning commutes and increase the risk of accidents.

In neighboring states, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Missouri are also facing similar conditions. The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a dense fog advisory for areas from Jonesboro, Arkansas to Memphis, Tennessee. Drivers in these regions, including areas around Oxford, Ripley, and Tupelo, should expect visibility as low as one-quarter mile.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use headlights, and maintain extra distance between vehicles. The fog is expected to clear by 8 a.m., but the morning rush could still be impacted.

If more advisories are issued later in the morning, updates will be provided. Stay tuned for further developments.
