Little Rock, AR – A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for much of Arkansas, with heavy snow expected to impact central, eastern, southeastern, and western portions of the state starting Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, the warning is in effect from noon Thursday until 6 p.m. Friday. Forecasts predict snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches, with locally higher amounts possible. Travel conditions are expected to become hazardous, particularly during the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to prepare emergency supplies, including flashlights, food, and water, if travel is unavoidable.
