Flagstaff, AZ – Northern Arizona residents can expect a mix of sunshine, wind, and colder temperatures as the region braces for a potential snow shower by Wednesday. Strong winds will develop early in the week, making travel difficult in open areas.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be sunny with a high of 53°F, but gusty southwest winds up to 33 mph will make conditions feel cooler. Winds will persist through Tuesday, with speeds reaching 29 mph as temperatures drop to a low of 17°F overnight.
By Wednesday, a 20% chance of snow showers could bring slick roads and reduced visibility. Highs will reach 41°F, but gusty winds up to 28 mph could make conditions hazardous for drivers. Those traveling along I-40 should use caution, especially in exposed areas.
Looking ahead, Thursday will be partly sunny with a high near 43°F, but another round of snow showers is expected Thursday night into Friday, with an 80% chance of precipitation.
Residents should secure loose outdoor items, drive cautiously, and prepare for colder mornings as winter conditions return to Northern Arizona.
