Flagstaff, AZ – A mix of rain, snow, and gusty winds will impact northern Arizona through early next week, making travel hazardous and disrupting early spring plans. Wind gusts of up to 37 mph and overnight temperatures dropping into the low 20s will keep winter conditions lingering in Flagstaff.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will bring breezy conditions with a high of 52°F before snow showers arrive late at night. Gusty southwest winds will strengthen, reaching up to 37 mph in the afternoon. By Monday, snow is likely, with accumulations of 1–2 inches possible and temperatures struggling to reach 38°F.

By Monday night, snow showers will taper off, but roads may remain slick as temperatures drop to 20°F. Tuesday offers a break, with sunny skies and a high of 50°F, but another round of snow showers is possible midweek. Wednesday and Thursday could bring scattered snow showers, with highs in the low 50s and gusts up to 30 mph.

Drivers on I-40 and local mountain roads should prepare for reduced visibility and icy patches, especially during morning and evening commutes. Residents should dress in layers and secure outdoor objects ahead of high winds.

While spring officially begins later in March, winter’s grip remains firm on northern Arizona. Stay updated on changing conditions by monitoring local forecasts.
