Phoenix, Arizona – Sunshine and heat return to the Valley this week, with temperatures climbing to 91°F by Tuesday and staying there through Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Phoenix, the area will see mostly sunny skies and rising spring temperatures starting Monday. Daytime highs will hit 90°F on Monday and remain above 90°F through at least Friday, with overnight lows in the low to mid-60s. Winds will stay light, generally under 5 mph, increasing the chance for stagnant air and hot afternoons, especially for drivers along I-10 during peak hours.

With no rain in sight, the main concern this week is heat-related fatigue and dehydration. Phoenix-area residents should take precautions by limiting strenuous outdoor activity between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., drinking water regularly, and checking on neighbors or pets. This pattern marks the first stretch of consistent 90-degree days this spring, a reminder of the hotter months ahead.

Monday and Tuesday will see highs of 90°F and 91°F, respectively, with mostly sunny skies and calm wind becoming light out of the west in the afternoon. Nights will be mostly clear and mild. Wednesday through Friday continues the trend with 91°F highs each day.
