According to the National Weather Service in Tucson, a 30% chance of thunderstorms will develop after 2 p.m. Monday, mainly impacting Pima County and metro Tucson. Winds may gust up to 29 mph, reducing visibility and creating hazardous driving along Interstate 10 and State Route 86. Residents should avoid non-essential travel during afternoon hours and stay weather-aware in case of lightning or localized flooding.
By midweek, high pressure intensifies, sending temperatures soaring. Wednesday’s high of 112°F will be the hottest of the week, with overnight lows failing to drop below the low 80s.
