Phoenix, AZ – The hottest temperatures of 2025 so far are expected in Arizona next week, with some areas nearing 90°F for the first time this year.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Phoenix, an unseasonably strong high-pressure system will bring above-average temperatures across the region. Locations such as Phoenix, Yuma, and El Centro could see highs reach 87-92°F by Monday. The early-season heat, more typical of late April or May, may pose a minor heat risk, particularly for sensitive groups.

Forecasters warn that dry conditions, gusty breezes, and high temperatures could increase fire danger across the state. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and be mindful of wildfire risks.
