Phoenix, AZ — Eastbound US 60 (Grand Avenue) will be narrowed to one lane and closed nightly for powerline work this week. Arizona Public Service (APS) will be conducting the work from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. each night through Thursday. These closures will significantly impact traffic flow.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), on Monday, eastbound US 60 will be narrowed between Orangewood and Myrtle avenues, closing sections between Glendale and Bethany Home roads. Drivers can take 59th Avenue to detour around the closures.
Tuesday night, US 60 will be closed between Bethany Home and Camelback roads. ADOT suggests using 51st Avenue or Camelback as alternate routes.
On Wednesday, the closure will span between Camelback and Indian School roads, with detours recommended via 35th or 43rd avenues. The final closure, Thursday, will affect the section between Indian School and Thomas roads.
Drivers are urged to plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid delays.
