Phoenix, Arizona – Arizona’s largest metro is entering another dangerous stretch of extreme heat, with daytime highs in Phoenix expected to exceed 105°F every day through at least Sunday, peaking at 111°F this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Phoenix, Monday’s high will reach 108°F under clear skies, with similar conditions holding through the week. Overnight lows will offer little relief, staying above 80°F, which increases heat-related health risks—especially for vulnerable groups and those without access to cooling.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, highs of 106°F to 107°F are expected, with winds picking up slightly in the afternoons. The heat continues into Thursday with another 108°F day in the forecast. Sunday could mark the peak of this stretch, reaching a scorching 111°F.

Residents across Maricopa County—including Glendale, Tempe, and Mesa—are urged to limit outdoor activity, hydrate frequently, and check on elderly neighbors or pets. Air conditioning use will likely remain high, and utility providers may see increased demand.

The National Weather Service has not yet issued an Excessive Heat Warning but may do so if conditions intensify. Updates will continue as the heatwave persists.
