Fort Worth, TX – North Texans should brace for bitter cold and potential travel disruptions as Arctic air settles in this week. Wind chills will drop into the single digits Tuesday morning, with a chance of snow Wednesday night into Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures Tuesday will climb to only 39°F, with morning wind chills ranging from 10°F to 20°F. A cold front will bring a rain-snow mix late Wednesday, with accumulations of 1-3 inches possible by Friday, especially along I-35 and areas north. Residents are urged to prepare for hazardous driving conditions on untreated roads.
Highs will remain in the 30s and 40s this week, while lows dip into the 20s nightly. Plan ahead to protect pets, pipes, and plants as freezing temperatures linger.
