Albuquerque, NM — Albuquerque is bracing for another day of near-record heat on Monday, with temperatures forecasted to hit 95°F. This marks the sixth consecutive day of record-breaking high temperatures in parts of New Mexico. The National Weather Service reports that areas near the mountains may also experience isolated showers and storms.
According to the U.S. National Weather Service in Albuquerque, Monday’s high of 95°F will challenge the previous record of 92°F set in 1933. Other cities, including Glenwood and Socorro, are also expected to approach or surpass historical records. Winds will remain light throughout the day, contributing to the prolonged heat.
The extended forecast predicts temperatures in the mid-90s today, dropping to the low 50s at night. Albuquerque will see slightly cooler weather on Tuesday, with highs of 85°F. The heat is expected to ease slightly later in the week, with highs near 91°F on Thursday and Friday. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions during peak heat hours.
