Albany, N.Y. – After a foggy start to the morning, residents across eastern New York can expect clear skies and sunshine by mid-morning Wednesday, with warm, comfortable conditions continuing into the afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Albany, patchy fog is expected to dissipate quickly, giving way to mostly sunny skies. Highs will range from the upper 60s in higher elevations to the low 80s in valleys, including areas along the Hudson River and into the Capital Region.
Cities like Albany, Troy, and Schroon Lake should see highs in the mid-70s by early afternoon, while warmer spots like Poughkeepsie and Kingston could reach the low 80s. Humidity levels will remain moderate, making for a pleasant June day for outdoor plans, travel, or yard work.
Drivers are urged to use caution on rural roads early in the morning due to reduced visibility from fog, particularly along I-87 and Route 7 in the hillier areas of the Adirondacks and Berkshires.
