Albany, NY – The National Weather Service Albany reports that October 2025 brought slightly above-normal temperatures and wetter-than-usual conditions across eastern New York and western New England.
Data from five official climate sites — Albany, Glens Falls, Poughkeepsie, Pittsfield (MA), and Bennington (VT) — show average temperature departures of +0.6°F to +1.0°F above normal, with rainfall near or more than an inch above average at most locations.

- Glens Falls, NY: 48.9°F (+0.9°F) | 4.74” rain (+1.06”)
- Poughkeepsie, NY: 53.0°F (+0.8°F) | 4.37” rain (+0.87”)
- Bennington, VT: 49.7°F (+0.8°F) | 4.63” rain (+1.02”)
- Pittsfield, MA: 49.0°F (+0.6°F) | 4.54” rain (−0.02”)
According to the NWS, the month featured frequent passing systems that kept rainfall consistent but moderate, helping to offset September’s drier stretch. Despite the added moisture, temperatures remained mild, with highs regularly reaching the 60s in early and mid-October.
Looking ahead, early November is expected to bring seasonable temperatures and limited rainfall, continuing the region’s gradual transition toward cooler late-autumn weather.
