According to the National Weather Service, the storm is forecast to begin Sunday evening and continue through late Monday night. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph, which, combined with significant snow accumulation, will lead to reduced visibility and challenging road conditions. Local authorities are urging residents to avoid travel if possible, particularly on remote roads where snow drifting is expected.

The affected area includes Walker Lake and surrounding communities along the South Slopes. Travel may become nearly impossible as snow piles up and strong winds create whiteout conditions.
