Birmingham, AL — A sunny stretch of weather will dominate the start of this week, providing ideal conditions for holiday preparations. Monday’s high will reach 54°F under clear skies, with calm winds from the southeast at 5 mph. However, frost could pose challenges for early commuters as temperatures dip to 30°F tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will remain sunny with highs nearing 60°F before increasing clouds move in late at night. For those traveling along I-20 or I-65, expect excellent visibility through midweek, but take caution with possible slick spots from overnight frost.

By Wednesday, a 30% chance of rain emerges, with highs near 59°F, potentially impacting holiday travel plans. Showers are most likely in the afternoon, but rainfall is expected to remain light. Christmas night temperatures will drop to 49°F under partly cloudy skies.
