The National Weather Service reports a 90% chance of storms overnight Sunday into Monday morning, with rainfall totals potentially exceeding three-quarters of an inch.

According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, showers and storms are expected to develop after 10 a.m. Sunday, intensifying into the evening. Wind gusts could reach up to 30 mph. Drivers along US-231 and surrounding routes should anticipate slick roads and reduced visibility. Residents are urged to secure outdoor items and monitor weather alerts.

Temperatures will stay mild, with highs near 75°F Sunday and lows around 63°F. Storm activity will taper off Monday night, giving way to partly cloudy skies and drier conditions. By Tuesday, sunshine returns with highs in the low 70s.
