Rainfall will ease up Thursday afternoon, leaving behind mostly clear skies and temperatures in the mid-60s to mid-70s across the region. Drivers should remain cautious on local roads Thursday morning as wet conditions persist, particularly along major routes like Interstate 65 and Highway 280.

According to the National Weather Service, the showers are expected to move eastward by Thursday afternoon, giving way to drier air and improving visibility. Highs on Thursday will vary, with Birmingham expected to reach around 67°F, while areas to the southeast, like Montgomery, could see highs closer to 74°F. By Thursday night, temperatures will drop significantly, reaching lows in the mid-40s under mostly clear skies. This cooler trend will continue into Friday and the weekend, with Friday’s high only reaching about 64°F in Birmingham.

Looking ahead, Friday and Saturday promise sunny skies, giving residents ideal conditions for outdoor activities. Friday night lows will dip to around 43°F, bringing a crisp fall feel to the area. Saturday will remain sunny, with temperatures peaking around 68°F, while Sunday will be slightly warmer, reaching 71°F. Overnight temperatures for both nights will stay in the mid-40s to low 50s.

The extended forecast suggests mild, sunny weather continuing into early next week, though rain chances return Monday night into Tuesday.
