Alabama Weather Alert: EF-1 Tornado Confirmed Near Lexington

Lexington, AL – A National Weather Service (NWS) survey team has confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down near Lexington in Lauderdale County on March 15, 2025. The tornado produced peak winds of 108 mph and traveled 2.29 miles before dissipating.

According to the NWS Huntsville office, the tornado was on the ground between 2:21 p.m. and 2:25 p.m. CDT, with a maximum path width of 63 yards. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

The tornado primarily impacted areas near Highway 64 and County Road 101. The NWS is continuing to assess damage in the region. Residents are encouraged to report storm damage and stay informed on future severe weather threats.
